On Sunday, January 7, 2007 I was on the Sun Cruz out of Treasure Island. I spent approximately $700.00 and was not satisfied due to the unexplainable incident that occurred that evening. About 2 hours out I went to the ATM machine to withdraw money for gambling. In the middle of this transaction your employees who apparently were inside Handicapped Restroom opened the door and s**t started flowing out. These employees got some wires and pipes and continued working in the bathroom and in the aisle where the s**t was flowing. My question is: What did you do with that s**t? From the looks of it you were dumping it into the ocean. I believe there are regulations about this and would it not be proper protocol to seal that bathroom and after everyone is off the boat work on it????
After that I was so humiliated and upset that I sat down at one of the gaming devices and asked for a Manager. The Manager was rude and insistent of asking me what he could do to comp me and at that point I wanted something dry to change into or to hide my wet slacks. I ended up sitting there for 2 hours – 1 hour slowing my money into the machine so people would not take notice of me wetting myself and the other dealing with this manager and his intimidation.
I contacted insurance claims and talked to a Joy. Although she followed up twice I had to go to the local office and explain everything again. When I did get a call back she said that they would dry-clean my clothes????(From three weeks prior), give me a free meal voucher and free entry in-that is supposed to compensate me.
Two weeks later I decided to go on again and hoped my experience would be different. I went with a friend again. After I got my ticket and was on board I was approached by several employees-all male. I was informed I had to leave due to a pending issue. I said fine and proceeded to leave just to be told to stop and `wait. Now that they got everyone on the boats attention-all of 38 people and again put me in a embarrassing position and one employee talking on a Nextel radio-the one that told me to wait-a few minutes later they told me to leave. I am not sure but are you running a professional casino or a kindergarten with your staff on hand???
Since these two incidents I have been approached by several individuals with similar stories about Sun Cruz. Does this have to take a class action suit to get what I deserve-appropriate compensation and an apology from your staff????
I am an Environmental Manager and ISO 14001 International Auditor. What occurred that evening was an OSHA violation and was not treated as such. In addition, there are several OSHA violations that I can site to the Coastguard and OSHA.
I feel like I have been violated and mistreated and want compensation for this. I will look forward to hearing from each and every one of you and will assist in any way I can but this is not acceptable.
